Comer is 1-8 against Childersburg since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Comer Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Childersburg Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Comer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 384th, while Childersburg is ranked 134th).
Comer suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 51-21 loss at the hands of Glencoe. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Comer has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Childersburg pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Midfield. It was the first time this season that Childersburg let down their fans at home.
Comer's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Childersburg, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.
Comer ended up a good deal behind Childersburg when the teams last played back in December of 2022, losing 48-30. Thankfully for Comer, Jada Swain (who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
