Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Cascade Cadets walked away with it. They walked away with a 61-52 victory over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for Cascade as they're now sitting on six straight.
Cascade got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lilly Hall out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hall has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Smith, who scored 21 points.
Cascade is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Monrovia, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 13-10.
Cascade is on the road again on Friday and plays the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Danville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cadets in Indiana (the Warriors are ranked 44th, while the Cadets are ranked 150th). Monrovia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
