The Lake View Wildcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Foreman Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on January 18th. Lake View has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 378 points over their last six games.
Lake View pushed their score all the way to 63 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Von Steuben by a score of 66-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Lake View has suffered since December 6, 2023.
The losing side was boosted by Alex Hilton, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Ayden Reed was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four blocks.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Foreman beat Chicago Mathematics & Science 59-54 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Foreman.
Lake View's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Foreman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Lake View against Foreman in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 62-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
