Even though the Evansville Central Bears scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Jasper Wildcats still came out on top. Jasper took their match against Evansville Central 70-60. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Jasper.
Evansville Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zaryen Moore, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Landyn Richason, who scored 16 points.
Jasper's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Evansville Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jasper will challenge Evansville Reitz at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Evansville Reitz focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Evansville Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
