The Tikigaq Harpooners came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 74-46 victory over Southeast Career Tech on the road.
Southeast Career Tech's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Morgan Sweet, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds, and Bianca Vazquez who scored 15 points. The contest was Sweet's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Tikigaq's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Southeast Career Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Tikigaq does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southeast Career Tech won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Palo Verde at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th.
