Triton Central couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 21-14 to the Batesville Bulldogs on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Batesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Jaisle, who threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. Gage Pohlman helped Jaisle out on the ground, rushing for 68 yards, while also catching a touchdown.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triton Central will challenge Hamilton Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
