Enterprise has won nine straight games at home, while Bogue Chitto has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Yellowjackets will welcome the Bobcats at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Enterprise earned a 9-6 win over Lumberton. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Haygan Floyd made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Floyd was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Enterprise's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Kelly Burgess and Prewitt Falvey did most of the damage at the plate: Burgess scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Falvey scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Falvey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jiles Williams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Bogue Chitto made easy work of Amite County on Friday and carried off a 16-1 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Like Enterprise, Bogue Chitto also got a great game from a two-way player: Warren Wallace. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Wallace was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Noah Magee was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Gatlin Guynes was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Bogue Chitto was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Bogue Chitto is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Enterprise, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
Enterprise was able to grind out a solid victory over Bogue Chitto when the teams last played back in March, winning 9-6. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
