Montgomery Central is a perfect 4-0 against North Moore since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Montgomery Central is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against North Davidson on Tuesday. They lost 9-1 to the Black Knights. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Black Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Kyndal Rush made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, North Moore got the win against Graham on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-1. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won eight in a row.
Sydney Russell was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, North Moore got a massive performance out of Carly Monroe, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Monroe a new career-high in RBI. Tate Allred was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
North Moore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .696. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
North Moore's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Montgomery Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Montgomery Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like North Moore struggles in that department as they've averaged .440. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
