Goodpasture Christian got themselves on the board against Hunters Lane on Thursday, but Hunters Lane never followed suit. They blew past the Warriors 56-0. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five games by 30  points or more  so far this season.
Goodpasture Christian's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Chase Angell, who threw for 126 yards and two  TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing. Angell's passing game has become a key predictor of the Cougars' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.  John Slagle was another key player, rushing for 12 yards and one  touchdown.
 Goodpasture Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Caleb Reed,  Tanner Head,  and  Heath Vinnett picked up one apiece. Head got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
Goodpasture Christian's record now sits at 7-3. As for Hunters Lane,  they are  on  a  13-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
 Looking ahead, Goodpasture Christian will take on Christian Academy of Knoxville on Friday. Hunters Lane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
