After losing to Russell the last time they met, Ironton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Fighting Tigers walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Red Devils on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Fighting Tigers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Ian Ginger was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Bryson Kerns was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Ironton's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Russell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-11.

Looking ahead, Ironton will host Rock Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Russell, they will head out on the road to take on Blazer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
