Ennis extended the longest winning streak in Southern C - West (8 Man) this week by beating White Sulphur Springs, 52-8. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Mustangs.
Twin Bridges took down Absarokee 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Ennis' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dalton Bullock threw for 165 yards and Connor Sullivan had 155 yards receiving. On the ground Roy Moen chipped in 145 yards. Taylor Davis helped Ennis' passing attack out by catching one ball for 16 yards.
5-foot-9 quarterback Derek Heggen of the Hornets is the league leader in passing yards this season with 750. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, the Mustangs' Moen has rushed for 431 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Sullivan. The Ennis star has 22 catches for 464 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Ennis and the Falcons. The Mustangs enters the contest ranked fourth in the state, while Twin Bridges ranks 16th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Ennis takes on the Falcons. The Mustangs have allowed 100 points this season, while Twin Bridges has given up 62. Ennis allowed 8 points last week as it bested White Sulphur Springs.
The Mustangs led Southern C - West (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on Barry Hedrich's team. Sullivan in the win.
