The Osborn Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Ferndale Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Osborn is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Osborn came out on top against Northwestern on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 18-run first inning. The Knights were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Colts. Considering the Knights have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on A Woods, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and two stolen bases while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. T Brown was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Osborn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .900. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .696 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ferndale). They put the hurt on Southfield Arts & Tech with a sharp 21-1 victory on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Mason Shaltis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ferndale is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise. Shaltis was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one double.
In other batting news, Jaylin Dennard was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. He has become a key player for Ferndale: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Nick Tonan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Osborn's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Ferndale, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Osborn hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .398. However, it's not like Ferndale struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
