Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Perspectives-IIT/Joslin Wolves walked away with it. They breezed by the Cristeros at home to the tune of 57-25 on Saturday. Perspectives-IIT/Joslin has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 29 points or more this season.
Leading Perspectives-IIT/Joslin to victory were Victoria Robinson and Leilani Laws. Robinson scored 21 points, while Laws scored 30 points. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which Laws has scored at least a third of Perspectives-IIT/Joslin's points.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Perspectives-IIT/Joslin, bringing their record for this year to 13-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season.
Perspectives-IIT/Joslin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cristo Rey Jesuit also has no future games currently scheduled.
