It was a good run, but the Antioch Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Cane Ridge by a score of 76-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (67), Antioch still had to take the loss.
Cane Ridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avyion Mccleton, who scored 20 points along with five assists. Da'ron Hall was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Antioch's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for Cane Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Antioch will be playing in front of their home fans against Hunters Lane at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hunters Lane has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21. As for Cane Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Hillsboro at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Hillsboro has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 260 points over their last four matchups.
