Cabrillo had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Hoover Patriots on Friday as they made off with a 35-14 win. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cabrillo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabriel Barraza, who threw for 179 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Andrew Wallace helped Barraza out on the ground, rushing for 97 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while also picking up 36 receiving yards.
Cabrillo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 246 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards in six consecutive games.
