Canby hadn't beaten Yellow Medicine East on the road since April 20, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Lancers had just enough and edged out the Sting 4-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Lancers, who have now won three games in a row.
Jace Rangaard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. That run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cody Stoll, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cash Antony, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
