North Sequoia recap Oct. 9, 2012
Liberty extended the longest winning streak in North Sequoia this week by beating Yosemite, 48-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Hawks.
Chowchilla moved up to 488 from 541 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 29-0 win over Kerman helped the Redskins improve their standing.
Gage McAdams was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 16 carries, he ran for 117 yards as Sierra lost to Liberty. Teammate Aaron Maldonado added to the ground attack by rushing for 14 yards.
Devaughn Gaines put up the best numbers through the air as Chowchilla bested the Lions. He finished with three completions for 49 yards and one touchdown. Gaines' favorite target this week was Patrick Flanagan, who caught two passes for 42 yards.
Madison was the best wideout in North Sequoia this week as Yosemite fell to Mike Nolte's team. Madison racked up five receptions for 63 yards. Drew Lassos helped Yosemite's passing attack out by catching two balls for 35 yards.
Kent Lincoln's team's Joey Woolsey and Dillon Moran have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Woolsey has thrown for 1016 yards this season, while Moran has 19 catches for 320 yards. McAdams from the Chieftains leads the league in rushing with 660 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Liberty takes on second place Sierra. Last week, the Hawks topped the Badgers, while Sierra bested Washington Union.

Sierra and the Panthers played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Sierra eventually emerging with a 9-7 victory. McAdams in the win.
