The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Peter's, who defeated 193rd ranked Cardinal Hayes, 14-6.
The Eagles moved up to 293 from 357 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Catholic. St. Peter's climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Cardinals 14-6.
St. Anthony's's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Greg Galligan threw for 187 and 3 touchdowns and Nick Esposito had 106 yards receiving. On the ground Jordan Gowins chipped in 150 yards. Naim Jones helped St. Anthony's' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 35 yards.
He went 12-20 with 0 interception.
Galligan put up the best numbers through the air as the Friars bested Monsignor Farrell. Galligan's favorite target this week was Esposito, who caught 5 passes for 106 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Sean Cerrone of Chaminade is the league leader in passing yards this season with 613. He has also thrown 7 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Esposito. The St. Anthony's star has 17 catches for 273 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Holy Cross takes on St. Joseph-by-the-Sea. At the moment, the Knights are in first, while the Vikings are in 11th.
Holy Cross extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Fordham Prep, 28-9. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Knights.
