Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, Merit Preparatory Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.
When it comes to explaining why Merit Preparatory Academy lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Lizbeth Diaz. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with three blocks. That's the first time this season that Diaz posted two or more blocks.
Merit Preparatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Rockwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Merit Preparatory Academy will be playing at home against Wasatch Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wasatch Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Rockwell, they will head out on the road to challenge Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
