Brookfield has gone 9-1 against Pomperaug recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bobcats will welcome the Panthers at 4:15 p.m. Brookfield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Brookfield's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Weston by a score of 4-0.
Mikey Graham looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jack Ponte was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Matt McDowell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Pomperaug hadn't done well against Immaculate recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Mustangs.
Kyle Parker was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Pane, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Pomperaug kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Brookfield's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Pomperaug, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Brookfield has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pomperaug struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Brookfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Pomperaug in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 9-8. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
