If the ED White Commanders were riding high off their 61-32 takedown of the Parker Braves last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. ED White fell to Raines 59-55. Even though they lost, ED White's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.2 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Several Commanders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamal Scott, who scored 19 points. Elijah Sublett was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
ED White has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Raines, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.
ED White will head out on the road to take on First Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. First Coast presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than ED White in Florida (First Coast is ranked 220th, while ED White is ranked 531st). Raines will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fletcher at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
