It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Williamsville North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Frontier Falcons 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Karah Bainbridge was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Olivia Schwartz also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Williamsville North's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for Frontier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.
Coming up, Williamsville North will be playing at home against Cheektowaga at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Frontier, they will venture away from home to face off against Orchard Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
