Having just played yesterday, the Memorial Chargers will jump right back in to play the Collinsville Cardinals at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Memorial will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Memorial didn't have too much trouble with Lincoln Christian on the road as they won 47-31. Given Memorial's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Lincoln Christian is ranked 169th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Memorial's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Johnson, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks. Johnson also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Fabian Harris, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Collinsville can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by East Central at home to the tune of 75-45. The win was just what Collinsville needed coming off of a 78-49 defeat in their prior match.
Memorial's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Collinsville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
