The Beaver Beavers will head out on the road to square off against the South Sevier Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Beaver took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Water Canyon as they made off with a 24-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

Braylee Carter made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Beaver got a massive performance out of Taylee Ashworth, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Ashworth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaeley Smith, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Beaver was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are a perfect 13-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, South Sevier came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with 21 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Eagles a 7-0 shutout.
Like Beaver, South Sevier also got a great game from a two-way player: Navey Lindsay. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Lindsay has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kinsey Parsons, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
South Sevier pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Beaver, their record now sits at 18-7.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Beaver has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473. However, it's not like South Sevier struggles in that department as they've averaged .492. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
