Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brillion). They blew past the Shiocton Chiefs, posting a 71-33 win. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Chiefs are ranked 276th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brillion's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camden Hale led the charge by going 9 for 18 on her way to 20 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. That's the most points Hale has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amaya Brooks, who went 7 of 10 en route to 18 points and seven assists.

Brillion was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Brillion has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Shiocton, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Brillion has already played their next contest, a 57-17 victory against New Holstein on the 14th. Shiocton has also already played their next matchup (against Iola-Scandinavia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
