South Warren is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of West Limestone. The Spartans came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 5-2. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
South Warren saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keegan Pruitt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Pruitt a new career-high. Another was McLaine Hudson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
South Warren's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for West Limestone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 27-4.
