The Sterling Tigers won the last time they faced the Weld Central Rebels, and things went their way  on Monday too. Sterling walked away with  a   36-28  victory over the Rebels. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for Sterling.
 Sterling found their leader in underclassman  Ashlynn Storch, who  scored 11 points along with three  steals.  Tatym Dempcy was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.
 Weld Central lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Isabel Weisenborn, who  scored five points along with 12  rebounds and three  blocks. Another player making a difference was  Gracie Weber, who  scored ten points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals.
 Even though they lost, Weld Central  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 19  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sterling only pulled down 11  offensive rebounds.
 Sterling's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Weld Central, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
 Sterling won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against the Vikings at 6:00  p.m.  on January 30th. Valley is on  a three-game streak of home losses, the Tigers a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Weld Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against the Cougars at 6:00  p.m.  on January 30th. Resurrection Christian will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
