Community Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Orangeburg Christian Academy Patriots 38-36. The Ambassadors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.
Jaxon Hinton had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 145 yards and one TD, and also threw for 127 yards and three touchdowns. Christian Kilpatrick got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Community Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Victory Christian at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Orangeburg Christian Academy, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge King Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
