St. Charles East is a perfect 6-0 against Central since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Fighting Saints will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockets at 4:30 p.m. Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Charles East, who comes in off a win.
St. Charles East headed into their last contest having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Batavia let them put that streak behind them. The Fighting Saints never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Thursday. Considering the Fighting Saints' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Not much got past Makayla Van Dinther, who gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks to keep Batavia off the board. Van Dinther has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
