Rosemead moved up to 541 from 592 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mission Valley. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of beating Temple City 35-14.
Rosemead added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Rams, 35-14. The win marks fourth in a row for the Marc Paramo's team.
Nathan Coto put up the best numbers through the air as Arroyo topped La Canada. He finished with 12 completions for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns. Coto's favorite target this week was Nico Lozano, who caught 5 passes for 85 yards.
The Knights' Coto and Lozano have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Coto has thrown for 1,393 yards this season, while Lozano has 24 catches for 607 yards. Alec Zavala from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 479 yards.
Two of the top units in Mission Valley will face off this week when Arroyo takes on Gabrielino. Jim Singiser's team's offense has recorded 181 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Eagles have permitted only 66 on the year.
The Knights are currently in third, while Gabrielino is in second.
