The North Olmsted Eagles will challenge the Lakewood Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While North Olmsted's win against Bay wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Rockets on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won three in a row.

Elena Scott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Morgan Outrich, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Suckart, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Meanwhile, Lakewood made easy work of Normandy on Monday and carried off an 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Ella Bower was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Bower was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Madison Comer was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Delaney Starr was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Lakewood has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
