It was a good run, but the Lamoille Lancers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Montpelier 80-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Lamoille has suffered against Montpelier since March 20, 2021.
Montpelier was led to victory by Carson Cody and Clayton Foster. Cody scored 21 points along with two steals, while Foster scored 14 points along with six assists and five steals. Cody is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Atif Milak, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Lamoille's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Montpelier, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Lamoille will take on Peoples Academy at 9:46 a.m. on Wednesday. Peoples Academy is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Montpelier, they will head out on the road to take on Harwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Vermont (Harwood is ranked 25th, while Montpelier is ranked 11th).
