The Southeast Pirates lost against the Rootstown Rovers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Southeast took a serious blow against the Rovers, falling 57-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast has scored all season.
Nadia Lough continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rootstown, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Lough is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn McIntyre, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Southeast has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Rootstown, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Southeast will take on the Red Devils at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rootstown, they will head out on the road to challenge the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
