Gateway Charter made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lehigh, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Gateway Charter Griffins' way against the Lehigh Lightning on Thursday as the Gateway Charter Griffins made off with a 15-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Griffins considering their two-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Denise Membrides, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Evanna Ramirez, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Gateway Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lehigh only posted an OBP of .458.

The victory got Gateway Charter back to even at 1-1. As for Lehigh, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway Charter will face off against Cape Coral at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lehigh, they are taking a road trip to square off against Gateway at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
