The Viewpoint Patriots fell victim to the Brentwood School Eagles''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Eagles on the road and fell 42-0. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Viewpoint in their matchups with Brentwood School: they've now lost eight in a row.
Connor Eagan threw for 36 yards on eight of 16 attempts.
It was another big night for Boone Lourd, who threw for 105 yards and three touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Lourd is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last seven games he's played. Davis Wong was in the mix as well, providing Brentwood School with two touchdowns.
Viewpoint's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Brentwood School, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Viewpoint does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brentwood School will stay at home for another week and welcome Fountain Valley at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Fountain Valley is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
