The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins managed a 40-35 victory over the Horizon Honors Eagles on Thursday thanks in part to Smith, who went 8 of 14 on her way to 24 points along with seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

When it comes to explaining why Horizon Honors lost, don't look at Audriana Anglada. Despite the final result, she went 7 of 13 on her way to 20 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. That was a full 57.1% of Horizon Honors' points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alicia Londono, who put up seven points.

Glendale Prep Academy moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Horizon Honors, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
