Hixson is 0-3 against Stone Memorial since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hixson Wildcats will be playing at home against the Stone Memorial Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Hixson will be strutting in after a win while Stone Memorial will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Hixson sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 victory over East Ridge. The win was just what Hixson needed coming off of a 34-7 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Stone Memorial's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 15-14 to Macon County.
Nick Osmun put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 119 yards, and also threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes.
Hixson's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.8 points per game. As for Stone Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Hixson took a serious blow against Stone Memorial in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 37-0. Will Hixson have more luck at home instead of on the road?
