The Manchester Lancers will face off against the Godwin Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Manchester will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Manchester is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on L.C. Bird with a sharp 19-1 win on Thursday. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by eight runs or more this season.

Cam Winiarski made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Emma Newsom was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kenzie Butler was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Manchester was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Godwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Freeman.
Godwin also got a good showing from Delilah Smith, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.
At the plate, Bella Ross was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Coleman, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Godwin's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Manchester, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 9-7.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Manchester hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Godwin struggles in that department as they've averaged .392. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
