Phillips rushed for 152 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.9 yards per carry while Stevens rushed for 96 yards and three TDs on only seven carries. Those 96 rushing yards gave Stevens a new career-high.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something North Duplin proved: they limited Southside to a paltry 2.5 yards per carry. While three picked up at least two total tackles, Stevens stood above the rest. He rushed for 96 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries.
