If the Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish were feeling good off their 47-26 takedown of the Ypsilanti Grizzlies on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Gabriel Richard fell just short of Franklin by a score of 39-37. Gabriel Richard lost against Franklin in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 53-43 score last time.
It was another big night for Mitch Cronyn, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds for Franklin. The game was Cronyn's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robbie Wynn, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Gabriel Richard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Franklin, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1.
Gabriel Richard will square off against Greenhills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Voyageur Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
