The Poudre Community Academy Warriors lost against the Wellington Eagles back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Poudre Community Academy was dealt a 58-18 defeat at the hands of Wellington. Poudre Community Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Joslyn Schaeffer and Ash Beck certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Schaeffer scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and three blocks, while Beck scored a point along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Poudre Community Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.5 points per game. As for Wellington, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Poudre Community Academy will head out on the road to face off against Twin Peaks Charter Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wellington, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lyons at 6:00 p.m.
