Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frost). They put the hurt on the Meridian Yellowjackets with a sharp 25-6 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Polar Bears as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Heidee Hearn, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Addyson Fuller also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Frost kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Meridian only managed five hits.
Frost's record is now 3-13. As for Meridian, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.
