Bennington entered their tilt with Lincoln Northwest on Thursday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Brandt Schmidt, who gave up just a hit to keep Lincoln Northwest off the board. Schmidt has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aidan Smith was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 12 contests. Morgan Schuman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Bennington hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.

Bennington's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln Northwest, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-15 record.

Bennington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-3 victory against Wahoo/Bishop Neumann on the 9th. Lincoln Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
