It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Martin Warriors can now relate to. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 36-33. Martin's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Martin's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Logan Baresh, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Tristan Bittle who threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns.
Leading Allen to victory were Quinton Hammonds and Micah Ellis. Hammonds rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while Ellis rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
Martin's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Allen, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Allen will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland Legacy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Midland Legacy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 521 points over their last 11 contests.
