The Tuckahoe Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Dobbs Ferry Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Tuckahoe's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
Tuckahoe lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Valhalla, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Tigers blew past the Vikings 10-1 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Connor Brice made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.
In other batting news, Tuckahoe let Jay Romeo and Ben Silvestri run wild. Romeo went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Silvestri went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Silvestri has become a key player for Tuckahoe: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Vincent Justino, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Tuckahoe hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Dobbs Ferry was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hastings. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.
Tuckahoe pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Dobbs Ferry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Everything went Tuckahoe's way against Dobbs Ferry in their previous meeting back in April, as Tuckahoe made off with an 11-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
