Madelyn Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Sydney Deane and Clara McMahon did most of the damage at the plate: Deane got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while McMahon went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three runs gave Deane a new career-high. Keely Semtner also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
