The Bolles Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Oakleaf Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bolles is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Bolles is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Providence School just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Stallions by a score of 8-7.

Levi Pietschker was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Oakleaf came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Union County on Tuesday.

Oakleaf also got a great performance from Jackson Clark as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Clark has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Connor Tant was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That run marked the first that he scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of JP Espinosa, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Bolles' loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Oakleaf, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bolles has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Oakleaf struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Bolles might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Oakleaf when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Bolles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
