The Mountain View Thunder have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 70-30 victory over Heritage on the road. Given Mountain View's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Heritage is ranked 303rd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Nina Peterson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mylee Thompson, who scored 18 points.
Mountain View pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Heritage, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will square off against Evergreen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to face off against Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
