Dean Rosales had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 206 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 104 rushing yards. Michael Osuna helped out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards.
Meanwhile, Taft was beaten by Eagle Rock 56-21 last Friday. The Toreadors haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Granada Hills Charter will need to focus on slowing down Nathan Swinson, one of several Taft players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 245 yards and three TDs. Sammy Peery was Swinson's top target, picking up 77 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Having lost for the first time this season, Taft fell to 4-1. As for Granada Hills Charter, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.
