Parkersburg Christian had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Mount Hope Christian Academy 59-23 on Saturday.
Mount Hope Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman MCKENNA JONES, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of ACACIA BLEDSOE, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Parkersburg Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkersburg Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mount Hope Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Cross Lanes Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
